Shri Yudhisthira Krishna Dasa (legal name Yogesh K P) was born on 15th August 1978. His first contact with ISKCON was through a Krishna Contest in which he participated while studying in 8th standard. His uncle who was in congregation introduced him to ISKCON. After which his purpose in life became very clear when he started reading Srila Prabhupada’s books. He was fully convinced in dedicating himself for serving Lord Krishna in the ISKCON movement established by Srila Prabhupada while studying 1st year MBBS in Ramaiah Medical College in Bangalore. Subsequently he dropped out of college and joined the movement in Oct 1997.
He is deeply impressed by Srila Prabhupada’s dedication to his spiritual master and how he kept his spiritual master’s order close to his heart and took it as his life and goal and went ahead to fulfil the order facing the most challenging encounters throughout his life.
Shri Yudhisthira Krishna Dasa’s endeavor is to become Krishna Conscious and make sothers also become Krishna Conscious; which is the highest welfare work one can do to oneself and others. He says that everyone is working hard to lead a happy and sontended life with best possible comforts; but people are missing the point that without becoming Krishna Conscious their whole life is simply hard labor without any tangible result with regard to their spiritual journey. He says that Srila Prabhupada’s untiring and uncompromising life from birth to his disappearance is a solid example to demonstrate this. Thinking of this invigorates him with fresh energy to go on day after day. He prays to Srila Prabhupada to inspire him to go on serving his mission throughout life.
The challenges that he faces in his present role as Vice President of Vrindavana Chandrodaya Mandir is market sentiments with regard to economic situation which is not very positive because of which people are reluctant to come forward to contribute to the project. However, he is keeping all the devotees in fund-raising activities in an enthusiastic mood with a never-give-up attitude. He aims to reach out to UHNIs and HNIs both in India and overseas – and to contact the right people to reach out to them.
